Well today turned out really bad.
My work made five programmer redundant today and I was one of the five.

The really crappy thing was they waited until 4.30pm to tell us so they got a good part of a day's work out of us first. Not that I'm bitter http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif

Yeah, aka WC. They label it that in airports sometimes.

You guys forgot John. Kind of a dumb name for a toilet.

Crocodile Dundee called it a "dunny" - however you'd spell that is anyone's guess.

other names for the 'loo' are

shithouse

some posh types call it 'the little boys room' for some reason.

We have some great discussions in this place.

I already said the shitter. I once went into this toilet in a supermarket which turned out to be a disabled toilet. I couldn't find the flush handle. I saw this string hanging from the ceiling and automatically assumed that it was the flush. I pulled it but nothing happened. I then found the flush and then I wondered what I had just pulled. I went back and saw that this alarm had gone off and I realised I had pulled the alarm in the toilet for help. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm4.gif

Yeah, I've heard a really funny term before, "Built like a brick shithouse." lol. Quite funny really. Me and one of my friends were talking one day...

"Yeah, so what're you doing after school."
"Nothin."
"Me neither:
(silence for a few minutes)
"So, have any plans for the weekend?"
"Na, not really. Wanna do somethin?"
"Sure, why not. My house or yours?"
"Probably mine. They're talking tornados and shit this weekend. Your house isn't too good for weather, I remember that time I walked by the front room and the door flew off and I got drenched. Mine on the other hand is built like a brick shithouse."
(An odd look ensues, followed by hysterical laughter).

"Once in a while a programmer really writes something he's proud of, a slick, elegant, blazingly fast routine that stands as a benchmark against which other code will be judged by. However, this is not the case with TED's fill routine. This slow, stupid algorithm will casually fill one plane of data in a painfully creeping manner. Press ESC when it gets confused." - John Romero on TED (Tile EDitor)
