New PC

Just ordered myseld a new PC.
Dell Dimension 8200,P4 1.8Ghz, 256Mb Ram, 80Gb Harddisk, DVD, 64Mb Geforce2, SB Live.

Not quite cutting edge but that makes it a dam site cheaper, like half the price.

That's exactly my new computer but with a bigger HD (which doesn't matter cause I have two)! It's a nice machine Big_Al. I'm using one now. You can play anything DooM related and expect kick-ass performance even if it's been on for hours. It's great for the net and Wolfenstein too. You can try Doom_Dude's Vilecore preset for the SB card too.

The door trigger didn't work at all for me. I couldn't get past the bars in front of the Soul Sphere. After I noclipped through it I didn't need any keys to pass the level for some reason. You'd better check that level out for yourself.

That goes the same with that other level I complained about a similar thing on. I think it was 11 or something. All the key doors were in some kind of small atrium places and most of the level was grey mostly. It's in Vilecore bugs topic anyway. Most of this stuff is.

I just scanned and removed all the spyware on my computer. There was lots of it. Damn Gator (whatever that is)!

Gator is a piece of crapola they stick onto so called free software programs. I regularly use ad-aware and reg cleaner to keep that shit off my computer. Programs like GoZilla! are spyware as well. The problem is, that all these spy programs are running in the background, sucking up resources and can cause crashes and other problems. There was a guy on Doomworld who was having computer problems and I think he was having boot up probs. He reported a weird error message so I looked it up and it lead to a spyware prob. That's when I discovered ad-aware and told him. I ended up helping 2 guys over there get thier computers running properly again once I told them about ad-aware. One dude had something like 50 spyware jobbies. Maybe it was more...not sure because it was a few months ago. I told you about ad-aware in Rants last month in a topic where you said something about having one of those web diallers driving you crazy....can't remember the topic but I think you never saw what I said about ad aware and then I forgot about it.

No, they originally said they used cookies to control the service in such a way that anyone who could use your computer could use your e-mail. I think it was a sort of automatic login thing. I saw that and decided those guys were full of shit. I think they've changed though.
