No, but I haven't tried in a little while. I think it was a slightly newer version I tried actually. I should try it again later. I really feel like playing with that. I have a fast computer too, so it should be fun.

Yeah I was just thinking about it since I'm now playing RTCW and was wondering if ya got the editor working.. In the game I just stole that plane and am trying to rescue that scientist dude. Love fighting amongst the blasted buildings and rubble. LOL. That stupid git in the tank is yelling for me to come save his ass.

I got it working for Q3A okay, can't remember much about the install procedure.

It whined about some files it couldn't find. Including a default project file which didn't exist at all. It expected me to find the damn thing, but a hard-drive search turned up nothing.

I might have time to play with that sometime. I was thinking I should do a HL map of PowerSurger. That map would look nice and scary with the HL engine. You did a kickass job, but some lights will always look better compiled.

Actually, doing HL conversions for lots of those Vilecore maps would probably look pretty cool. They might not play as well though.

Worldcraft is very clumsy and tedious feeling. I wonder if there's one that's faster to use.

I'm still trying to figure out why it can't carve up brushes with diagonals without making 10 000 polys out of them. Can it really be that hard?

I liked it a lot actually & with a lot of practice it got real fun to use. Once you learn how to use the snap to grid, then things come along faster and you get a lot less compiling errors. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Of course. Without a snap-to-grid, you can make all kinds of errors.

I just got GtkRadiant 1.24 Nightly to run and I don't get how to use the damned thing. It's the same idea as Worldcraft, but the interface for making brushes and stuff is too stupid and messed.

Not that I know of. Maybe I can tweak the options to be more usable. It still looks somewhat confusing even though it looks more refined than Worldcraft (all the compile options are in a menu now).

I agree and it used to be a cool mag. It got boring for me and the reviewable games went south someplace. Besides you can look up tons more info on games and get reviews online.

I just tried to make a plasma shotgun. All I got was a plasma rifle that temporarily turns into a shotgun while still using cells. I'm not sure this can be done with dehacked. Maybe using a port with DDF or DED or something.

That would be a dehacked/FS cross and would be messy. I think it can be done with dehacked if I figure out the code pointers. Maybe not though. I didn't see any related to ammo specifically which is what I need.
