Okay, in the Windows Control Panel you should be able to find something called AudioHQ. If you go in there you will see some applications. Mine has some kind of software MIDI keyboard, an EAX Control, and one called Soundfonts. The soundfonts one controls your MIDI synth. It gives a bunch of weird settings. There are some load and save buttons. If you click load you can change the sound sample bank it uses for your MIDI. Mine was set to some 4MB thinghy so I set it to an 8MB one. It actually sounds slightly better. That Soundfonts thing supports the addition of custom sounds for those guys who like to make music, but that looks awefully complex to me.

That's good. The 8MB version of mine sounded way better on some instruments though. Not that I use it cause I rigged up a Yamaha jobby on the laptop so if I want MIDI, that's what I use (with headphones cause the speakers suck).

My soundfont control is using almost all of it's allocated memory according to that red bar at the bottom. It only has about 12 megs or something. I don't know why they called it a font. It's pretty stupid. As for those game settings, they made my RTCW sound really strange. I had the reverb cranked up for the MIDI and it made the OSA guys echo in their office.

Since I won't have time to install Legacy on this box until the end of tomorrow would you mind describing what that sounds like in DooM?

In Windows it sounds like I'm stuck in a big sewer or somthing. Must be creepy for Vilecore. Actually, that might make a neat Legacy addition. Let the game change those settings (if your box will do it) depending on a FraggleScript or something. I wonder if that can even be done.

She hasn't replied to my e-mail yet and on top of that I missed my friend who has my dad's computer. My dad needs the computer back so he can copy e-mails. I also didn't get hold of someone I needed to call about this science fair thing I'm working on and I locked my wallet in my dad's office. Now I'm stuck at the U with no money, I'm really really tired and I have no way of getting home. I haven't even eaten anything since a home-made Egg McMuffin I had for breakfast.

All this is actually managing to put me in a pretty crappy mood, which doesn't happen very often. The only reason I can type this right now is because my computing science building has very good hours in the labs.

Big Al is right, Im usually knackered when I get home and just stuff my face then fall asleep while watching a movie. Im starting to get used to the hours now.

Before finding a job I was insomniac and made most of my posts here between 5 and 8 in the morning (local time). Right now its about half past midnight but I dont get up early because Im on the backshift (1.30 PM to 10 PM)

It's like Morpheus. Morpheus's old interface was identical to KaZaA. Morpheus uses a smaller network and a different interface now though. KaZaA is capitalizing on this and improving their stuff while acquiring former Morpheus users.
