Yeah, but there is a point when it's ridiculous and she's reached and passed that point. Isabel's not allowed to ride the bus after dark and meet us at the mall to play Laser Tag. That makes life a pain in the arse. She has to find rides (as if the buses here were very dangerous).

I'm using headphones through my brother's stereo. The thing's 30 years old and when it's set to auxilliary (for the comp) the connections are bad and I keep losing one channel or the other. It seems to alternate.

Sounds kind of like the ones I'm using right now. They're falling apart and I've replaced the pads (stolen from other phones) about 100 times by now. They're the only ones I have that actually work properly though.

I've done it to about 15 pairs in the last 3 years (since I really started using them). They keep me from getting in trouble when I wanna blast whatever comes to mind. They also help tune out the world.

I haven't heard most of the Quake music. Total Annihilation has cool tracks though (if you like violent music played by massive orchestras).

I like lots of game music. I have piles of it in MIDI and MP3. C&C games often have some good ones. Duke3D had a couple. The Zelda song is keeeeewwwwllll!

If your using MIDI then your Creative card will have it's own built-in synth. They're pretty good, but they don't beat Yamaha. My midi doesn't play through my soundcard hardware though. It's all done in software. My FM driver died though.

Quicktime has it's own synth too. It's close to the DirectMusic one. It's stuff you don't need to worry about normally. If you have that Creative Labs stuff, then you're set because they have good software.

Cool. I don't even play Vilecore with music on this comp (at least with Legacy) because it's too slow. Those environmental things are neat. Personally I think Yamaha's high-end stuff sounds WAY better, but their software isn't as intuitive (maybe because it's made in Japan).
