Will source ports become second best when the new DooM comes out?

I am sure of that, (sorry, source port authors), but id software will be working on it their full time for a year, maybe moer, while source ports authors are working on them part time and only their voluntary hours. Also, each source ports have 2 or 3 authors while the id team has numbers of people working for specific stuff like graphics, engine, the bastards that we shoot at, blah blah.
