Hey, guys:

ALL my games now run under Win2K, except glLegacy. I get a "signal_handler(): segment violation" error message while trying to open the game under openGL. Game runs OK in software mode...but who wants to run it in that mode? Here are a few lines form the errorlog.txt file:

Command Line parameters: -IWAD DOOM2.WAD -opengl -nojoy
glLegacy caused an an Access Violation in module glLegacy.exe at 001b:77735f54.
Exception handler called in main thread.
Error occurred at 7/31/2000 14:55:06.
E:\Games\glLegacy\glLegacy.exe, run by Administrator.
1 processor(s), type 586 6.2049.
Program Memory from 0x00010000 to 0x7FFEFFFF
256 MBytes physical memory.
Read from location 77735f54 caused an access violation.

Runs great under Win98 on same hardware (dual boot). Thanks in advance

That "signal_handler(): segment violation" error message is very common in Legacy. Hurdler and Boris will be trying to work on fixing that error. Besides I heard a new version is coming soon, so hope it will fix that bug http://www.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well, that's strange. Do you have a glide compatible card and see how it works in glide mode?
also, which version of legacy did you use?
What is your video card and which opengl driver did you use?

I also have a GeForce DDR, ASUS v6800.
Running the 5.32 reference drivers...also happened with 5.22 drivers.

Obviously has something to do with the nvidia openGL drivers.

humm....
which version of legacy all you guys are using? (it would be interresting to know if it works differently with pr5, pr7 and pr8).

I am running 1.29 pr7.

Also occurs with the version (pr?...the one just before 7).

BTW, I have installed Win2K SP1, and the so- called "compatability" patches.

UPdate....Version 1.31RC works like a champ under W2K. OpenGL runs fast and looks great.

Thanks DoomLegacy guys.
