Legacy complaints

Legacy is ok, i guess but i have to complain about some **** .

Where is the page at? I hear about features i didnt know leagcy had so i try to find there site, i go to www.newdoom.com/legacy (http://www.newdoom.com/legacy) and click on whats new and of coarse is blank. I go to www.doomlegacy.com (http://www.doomlegacy.com) and click on news and it says:

I think there are a few more legacy sites scattered around somwhere but I'm not looking for anymore old ass half finished webpages. All the content at www.newdoom.com/legacy (http://www.newdoom.com/legacy) is old and useless. I see a post that looks like leagacy might have client/server code but can i find out before i waiste my time downloading it and finding out how to us it myself? **** no!

Here is a copy and paiste from one of there sites, I forget which:

· NO CHANGE TO THE GAMEPLAY : at least there will be an 'original gameplay' mode.

Hmm... What about the god damn mouse? /me kicks legacy. Whose idea was it to **** up the mouse code like that? I could understand having an option to use that POS mouse **** but why would force to people to use that if they want to use your buggy prog?

I have a shitload more complaints but no more time.

I agree to some degree. The site could without doubt be better... and *updated* at least now and then. The todo list and everything seems to be years old.

But that about all gameplay features should remain options... I see no violation in this rule so far. And I have no idea what you're talking about when you mention mouse code!?!? I've had no problems with the mouse support in Legacy. And if you're talking about deactivating the mouse support then that's possible.

I noticed this mouse thing on an older version of legacy and i have refused to waiste my time with another version so i dont know if its still there but it probably is. Legacy mouse has an accelerated rate, (if you dont know the difference between mouse and speed you wont understand this) The faster you mouse the mouse in legacy the higher the rate. This means that moving the mouse 1 inch no the pad wont always turn you the same amount and that is stupid. I see its advantages and they are outwayed by its disadvantages and I dont want to have to learn to use different mouse movements when I am changeing between ports. Thanx but no thanx, ill stick with zdoom, its hellsa better anyway and it can play the best wads:

Tnt wads, gothic wads, SlaughterDM, surge...the list goes on.

Good wads in your opinion. I dislike all GothicDM's above the first, Surge2 didn't impress me a load, and I've NEVER seen a zdoom wad worth downloading zdoom for.

Haven't played massmouth yet though...

I had never actualy DMed in gothicDM when i posted that, i thought it looked like it would play good but it plays like **** , all of them do. The TNT wads are some of the best DM wads in my opinion.

In legacy there is a stray pixel under the shotgun and when you punch is doesn't matter which way you look it always hits right in front of you. (Look up it punches in front of you,look down it punches in front of you....kinda a pain when trying to hit lost souls while on bezerk.)But besides that legacy is the best port out there(in my opinion.)
