View Full Version : 2D Sprites look flat when in OpenGL...

If you look at a sprite from above in glide or opengl mode, they are flat... I was just wondering if only the sprites were made MD2 and not all the monsters? Just cause I like how the monsters look and the doom guy when deathmatching... Or a way to switch between: all 3d models, just sprites or just models or all 2d models... Just a suggestion.

Me thinks all sprites be flat.

Personally I think that it should be made so that if you're standing on a guy he looks like he's sort of laying down when you look down at him. The old mouselook would've had this effect if it looked all the way up or down. thin flat guys are annoying and strange looking. They really lose their sense of substance when they disappear because you're looking at them from an angle.
