One more time:
I try to use my Microsoft Sidewinder game pad
I get the following error

DIENUMJOYSTICKS(): SETPROPERTY FAILED
NONE USED

Did I miss something in the docs? I read them over and over...

Trying the DOS version, I was able to get the program to recognize it as a 6 button game pad... but I do not wish to play the DOS version... I like the OpenGL version...

So the question arises, is there perhaps some way to get the Win32 version to recognize my Sidewinder as a 6 or 8 button game pad?

Any help at all is extraordinarily appreciated, thanx...

Well, first, calm down. We help on our own time, when we can. If we dont have a sidewinder, we cant help you. So shut up.

Ahh... good to know I'm not the only one with the sidewinder problem. Mouse and keyboard... yeah tolerable I guess. The reason I like the Sidewinder so much for FPS games, tho, is the L and R buttons for sidestepping. They KICK ASS! You can circle like 3 barons and take em out with a mere shotgun taking a minimum of damage...

But I guess Legacy just doesnt support it yet. I'll go email the authors and see what they say.

No need to mail the authors, I've already answered to that on this forum a few days ago. (well, maybe it was for a pad from Gravis, but it's the same answer for the Sidewinder)
