I've noticed that sometimes some of the walls in legacy in opengl mode are not visible. This happens to certains walls and they are always like this. I don't have doom1, so I run legacy with final doom. Might this have anything to do with it?

I also noticed this when running my Doom 2 maps, using 3dfx mode. Certain peices of walls appear transparent and you can see monsters in adjacent rooms. In some spots solid ceilings have sky textures on them and these textures appear on the floor. When i run the exact same map in software rendering mode i don't see any of this crapola.

Sometimes i've noticed in 3dfx mode that sector seams are quite noticable and this looks like twinkling stars when i move quickly.

I have the latest drivers for my VooDoo Banshee card and i wonder what is causing this?

As sad as it is,those are common errors. I get them and so does every other user. Although, there is a node builder that is supposed to remove that from any wad. Maybe someone else can give you information. (hehe)

hehehe Monkey, you wanted me to answer?
Well, yes this is a very known 'bug' of legacy users http://www.newdoom.com/ubb/frown.gif But as said by Monkey, there is a temporaray solution that may fix most of those wall missing: rebuild the wad with 'deepbsp' or 'zennode'. If you're lucky it remove all the problem, if you're less lucky, it may remove 90% of the problem (still a lot better than not using it).

Ok, thanx for the recon. Since the maps i'm making seem to have these problems infrequently, then perhaps deepbsp or zennode will do the trick. We will see.
