Hi, when I launch legacy 1.30, it seems to run just fine. However, after I exit, it crashes with a General Protection Fault and a BSOD. I end up having to completely restart my computer. Any ideas? Also, the sound sometimes seems to be a bit distorted.

Is this happens all the time or only from time to time?
you said you have some sound problems, is the crash happens when you disable the sound?
What is your config? (processors + ram + video card + sound card).
Do you use opengl mode? if yes, is the crash happens when using software mode?

After checking some options, the source of the fatal exception appears to be Panda-Antivirus. This isn't the first time disabling my virus protection has solved some crashes. Anyway, the sound problems are still there. The sound will occasionally get static in it or break up, especially when a large number of effects are being mixed.

My system specs are: CPU: AMD Athlon 600Mhz
RAM: 64 Megs
Video: ATI Rage IIc, AGP
Sound: Creative Ensoniq
Audio PCI

I do not use any 3D Accel.

Try bringing down the amount of sound channels you have open. I raised mine to 32 just for fun, and I got for sound. (I'm not sure if its a valid entry for that variable, but i got ty sound anyways)

just a thought

Ok,
so remains only that sound bug. Since you're not the only one having that problem, we'll try to fix it ASAP (but no promises on the date it will be fixed, because sound programming is not our cup of tea).
