I feel the main reason why people still play doom is because of 1. Its cool theme. 2. There is Doom3 comming. 3. The love deathmatch. 4. They don't have a newer computer, This is major problem today software is getting fatter and slower most of my friends use a 133 or a 233 mhz machine. Please remember to optimize your code and be a model for people that don't optimize! The will allow to doom to be enjoyed by everyone.

Yes, playing Legacy on a 133 with 16 megs of ram sucks ass in multi-player!

I think we have the fastest doom source port (even faster than the original), especially on low end pc in software mode. It should work pretty well if you don't use wallsplats (and no high screen resolution).
