View Full Version : Jdoom Pre-Canidate Thing

"I've uploaded a PRE version of jDoom 1.14.0 to the /jdoom/unsupported directory over at Fourwinds. It can be considered a release candidate. I still need to update the documentation and write some new stuff before the 'official' release of Doomsday 1.7.0 can be made. So, if you're feeling lucky, grab the PRE version of jDoom and let me know how it works. Especially helpful would be to hear if the player turning multiplayer bug has finally been fixed. But be sure to install the PRE version into a new directory, since most of it is incompatible with the currently available binaries of jHeretic and jHexen." Well.. That's what the site says! Why dont you all go check it out?

Aargh! I know it's just a pre-release but I really hope 1.7.0 works with my voodoo2 again because it just plain won't work now and I dunno why. (Dx 8.1b)
Hold shift and select V2 in D3d came up with "Direct3D: Call to CreateDevice failed:
D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY", and Opengl+ICD driver says "drOpenGL.Init: Setting of pixel format failed. Error 0"
(And believe me, the 2d card in D3d or Opengl mode is so bad it makes jDoom the worst looking port available)
