I finally decided to give this JDOOM a run, and I noticed one small problem once I got everything loaded and that was the fact that even after I updated the MD2 models, the weapons that I was holding were still sprites rather than models.
Is this supposed to be this way or do I have something screwed up?

i dunno if you've screwed things up or not, but there're model updates listed for the weapons (obtainable), and the HUD weapons also. they worked in v.1.11, so surely they work in v.1.13, though the models themselves should be different. i will be installing soon, though i haven't yet, so unfortunately i can't give you a definite answer (someone else will have to do this).

if you installed these, then i guess something went wrong... uninstall, then reinstall, maybe?

They work fine for me.Make sure you downloaded ALL the model exe's from fourwinds and make sure you downloaded the full file(s)i.e if file is,say, 500kb you get 500kb not less or you will get crc errors and missing models.It has happened to me.Dont use v1.11 models as they wont work with v1.13.1 for various reasons.

sorry if i was a little misleading there... i know the two sets of models aren't interchangeable, but i guess i worded things a little strangely. i meant there were 3D models of the weapons that worked in the earlier version, and there should be newer working models for the latest releases as well. didn't mean to be confusing or show myself as the idiot i truly am. oh well; to quote homer simpson: "shut up brain, or i'll stab you with a Q-tip!"
