Tonight I started a cooperative game with my girlfriend. The only way I saw to do this in jdoom is to set deathmatch to 0 and nomosters to 0. Anyway the game starts (doom2 map01) and I see the bfg, rocket launcher, etc all laying at my feet. This kind of struck me as odd. I did notice that I didn't have all the keys, so it was indeed cooperative mode.

I tried this in zdoom, doom legacy, and the old doom95.exe just to see if I was crazy. They all behave the same as jdoom.

My question is, is this how it was in the original Doom? When playing cooperative, all the "deathmatch" weapons are laying around the level? It has been so long since I have played that I cannot remember. It seems rather silly for it to be this way.

No thats not right. Just one of u start a server and run the JDoom TCP/IP config screen and state the IP address of the server..should default as coop.
