does anyone know if MPU1.1 replaces MPU1 (cheb.exe)? or is it simply an addition? cheb's download page only says that it is different from the MPU1 download on the jdoom files page. if you click it (on the jdoom site), it will take you to cheb's page for MPU1.1. but you can hover over the ftp link and it will tell you that it is cheb.exe. just wondering, because i've installed jdoom 1.0 (full), then 1.1, then 1.11, then MPU1.1 + MPU2 + MPU3, then the 3D fireballs model pack, and the console reads that i am missing a muzzle flash for the bfg. just wanting to make sure i wasn't supposed to start the MPU's with 1, then 1.1. TIA

As far as I can see you did what you were supposed to.
Did you install the muzzle flashes separately after installing mpu3 ??

i'll have to doublecheck cheb's modelyard, but i thought that the muzzleflashes were part of MPU1.1 (along with the remodeled weapons). i did a search of my .md2 files, and found the bfg.md2, but not bfg1.md2, which is the one i'm apparently missing. it doesn't affect the game at all, though... i just happened to notice the message recently as doomsday was installing.

actually, i just checked cheb's modelyard (and it is VERY slow this evening... ugh), and i was right about MPU1.1 containing the muzzle flashes, but there is also a separate download (+ patch) entitled "muzzle flashes" that's meant to be part of MPU4. so that may cure my problem...

I believe the way to install it is. MPU1, then MPU2, MPU3 then muzzle flash then muzzle flash patch. Cheb has congregated certain patches. The above worked for me.
