Modem Play

Just installed JDoom with latest patches.
When playing one on one with modem dailer the client side always have 1 sec delay. Is this right or do I need to tweak out my modem setting? Play good on network. Just not modem? Wanted to know before I start tweaking things. This thing rocks!

Um perhaps it could be the ping, usually on 56k modem, the client will away have a certain ping (time to travel between server and client) so for you it might be up to one second. Also when you're on the Local Network obviously then you are in a much more close band connection so lag (cause by high ping) might not occur at all.
