Aliotroph?

How come there's no new topics here? That fact that I can't think of any myself is no excuse. Can't wait to see the new version of JDoom though.

It might be because there isn't anything new to say about jdoom at this time. It seems that most of the recent post have been about people needing help with one thing or another. I imagine that when the updated jdoom comes out the number of posts about how great it is and what people can do with it will increase.

Well there might be more if i had been able to download all the different Doom's ports to try out from this page (http://www.newdoom.com/ports.php) last weekend and just before. Could someone tell me a place to download, i click on the link to download and a new page comes up and just stop loading http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/frown.gif

There's more ports here (http://www.doomworld.com/ports/index.shtml) than you can count. After their dead hard drive incendent some might be missing but the say everything is there.

Okay thanks for the posting that link, The Undertaker. It doesn't have all the ports that newdoom listed but most of it is there as well as many other. Just downloaded, going to try it later http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif.

Okay i am going to try out your tips in just a second but i first would like to say Thank You to whoever had read through this topic and was helpful enought to send me a JHeretic.dll, i really a ppreciate it http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif. Other then that i am currently testing out all of the ports i had managed to get> ZDoom, GLBoom, Edge, Doom3d, Jdoom and Legacy. If anyone know any other good ports that would run under a Windows 98 SE, Ms-DOS 5.0, 501MHZ, 64RAM PC, please let me know http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif.

Yea i also have JDoom and it runs great, just tried Heretic with Jdoom too and that runs great with the Heretic.dll (YES!) http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/biggrin.gif. How come there is also a JHeretic Launcher? Does that have any new feature better then running Heretic through Jdoom?

All games that run of the Doomsday engine use the same launcher unless your talking about the Jdoom specific launcher.

Yea i meant the Jdoom launcher, but there is a separate one call JHeretic Launcher. So that's why i ask if running it through Jheretic launcher might have any significant better performance then just through JHereticD3d.bat?

Probably, since you get set more options like maxzone, what renderer, what game. Give GL a shot if you can get it to work, as it usually gives a faster performance.

Has anyone tried all the features of Doom3d? They say it supports this thing called the Matrix, which is essentially a big grid of poloroid filters so you can see in true 3D. Has anyone tried this? I'm doubtful as to whether that would work.

Well i don't i had try to run Jdoom through OpenGL before and i had to run it without software support and it made the games a lot more slower, so i am going to stick with just D3D which looks and run better anyway.
