When using JDoom 0.83 I could run the 3dfx.bat with my old Voodoo1 card. Recently I've replaced it with a Monster 3D II and upon running the same batch file I get an error that says no suitable directdraw device found. However I found the JDoomD3D.bat could get JDoom running. I find this curious since I thought the Voodoo2 card was more than equal to its predecessor. Is there a -driver switch better suited to Voodoo2 over the plain-vanilla D3D settings?
Here's the bat listing:
3dfx.bat = doomsday -game jdoom.dll -gl drd3d.dll -driver 3dfx
JdoomD3D.bat = doomsday -game jdoom.dll -gl drd3d.dll
