When I run JDoom with the models and the newest modeldef I get JDOOM crashes at some point of the game (usually opening a door or leaving a level), the title of the message is "Doomsday 1.0 pre" and the message is "Z_Malloc: failed on allocation of 192024".
Anyone know what this is about?

Voodoo3 3000 agp
Windows 2000 and 98
Pentium 2 450
160 megs of ram

The game runs for a minute or so then it just black screens and dies giving me that error message. If anyone can help please do!!!!

Hi, one day the sort of problesm you guys speak of happened to me, for no apparent reason. It first happended when i first put Jdoom on my machine, alongside Jhexen and JHeretic. JDoom would crash after flicking a switch usually or it would just freeze randomly, i got no errors messages, just a frozen screen. I just assumed this was a Jdoom bug, so when it happended to me in JHexen i became concerned. I had never seen JHexen crash. I ended up just zapping all the games and then reinstalling them separately, and all of them have been fine since. I too am using a Voodoo3 3000 AGP and everything is great now... Im using the l.05.02 beta drivers.

Not a great solution, but it may fix it...

BAM.

It looks like you dont have the -maxzone parameter in your command line when launching JDoom. A 16MB zone to hold all the model data should fix it. Make sure you have the latest JDoom also (0.83 20 Aug)
