I hope less lonely folk kill themselves (half of all suicides in the UK happen at xmas). Capitalism (as we know it and suffer under it) is a system based on greed. Thats a good enough reason to be against it.

I think its insane the way big companies think their profits have to increase every year and if they dont increase they sack the less well paid employees but increase the wages of the wealthier ones, so the folk who actually create the wealth are treated like dirt and the wealthy spongers who create nothing are richly rewarded.

Is that a good enough reason???

Can you tell I work retail!? Long story short...

I got promoted to assistant manager for the holiday season..only got a crappy $1.00/hr pay incrase..when the other managers make at least $3.00/hr more than I do. Next week is my last week as assist manager...and they won't even offer me a perm. position. They are bringing in new people from other stores, or people who haven't even worked for the company before to take over my spot, so I can go down to getting maybe 8 hours a week and going back to my shitty ass pay. Only because I stayed down to earth when I became a manager....didn't get on my high horse and dictate all the other employees around like they wanted me to. I fucking worked my ASS off, to bring in $$$ so I could get offered a perm. position. GRRRRRRRR. I still brought in the damn $$$$, but I'm not their idea of a GOOD manager. Hello...just because I stayed friendly and kept the employees happy!?
