In fact, one of the cool things about the US (for kids) is that their parents are too busy so they "buy" stuff for their kids to keep them occupied. Such a neat life for kids.

US has among the least censorship of any country in the world. In the state I live in (WA), the police actually have to CATCH you for traffic violations. Sadly, the damn European influence is coming over here though. There are many countries where they just mail you the ticket from a photo eh!

Pickle Hammer, you're pretty dumb if you think that the only type of music that comes from USA is Country Crap... I suppose living in another country might give you a better or distorted perspective, but 80% of the stuff I listen to is American. And, with the Constitution, I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, but I like my guns, and I like the fact that you can't get away with sheep molestation. The only thing I don't like about the government is the fact that it is campaign contributor driven, and the fact that sneaky cops and Department of Corrections can get away with anything. Other than that, it's never bothered me. And with literature, what the hell are you talking about?

Just a little side note here...(and yes I know this thread is pretty old as well) I know some people on this board don't like the "American Way" but I was born here. I didn't ask to be born here, I didn't ask to be put here... so please try to be a little nicer when talking crap about a country.

It seems most Americans (who can't stand our government most of the time, either!) still get thrown under the "I hate Americans and how they act, and their government sucks as well!" catagory. It hurts. Period.

I know lots of cool Americans. I also know lots of cool American things and American institutions. I just have a thing against their mass media (ours probably wouldn't be much better if it was given a chance) and their government (same story there).

On the other hand, all our governments here in Canada are the dumb pansy type that won't get anything done cause they're scared. And if they do get something done, it's usually a big fuck up.

Basically, I hate old fat rich guys and giant corporations (M$, AOL-Time-Warner, Alcan, GM, EA etc.).

I actually didn't mind the American government with Clinton and the democrats running it. But when Bush showed up, that just pissed me off. He's like some of the worst guys we have here.

Marmite isnt sweet, its a beef or malt extract (cant remember which) gooey stuff that looks like dark treacle. It tastes like concentrated gravy.

Marmalade is one of the best things you can put on toast (with butter), it also goes well with bacon or sausages.

KFC food is healthy enough, those middle class 'experts' who tell us otherwise are lying through their teeth, they are just big mouths who love the sound of their own voice who like us all to think they know better than we do. They are the same folk who have been telling us Coke, Coffee and chocolate are bad for us the past few decades, now it seems all three products fight cancers and the ageing process among other things.

Most foods are both bad and good for you. Coke and coffee both have negative effects that are really obvious. Coke is bad for your teeth (it even feels bad for your teeth) and coffee can dehydrate your body in a real hurry and be addictive. I've had hangovers from coffee.

KFC actually tastes unhealthy (too much oil for my system). It's not the worse thing you could eat, but you probably shouldn't live on it. Like most things, food needs to be balanced. Too much of any one thing will probably kill you eventually, no matter how much it fights cancer.
