Okay, I've finished 1 out of the 3 reports that are due on Monday. The one I finished was for PC Support 2. The subject: How to make a bootable floppy. I never realized much explaining it takes to describe something that would take one of us computer expirenced people 2 seconds.

You got that right! I had to type up a tutorial thing for Cute explaining how to format a floppy. It took quite awhile to describe what's involved. I went through the process myself and wrote down every single step. Geez I didn't think it was going to take that long! :/

I've had to instruct various people over the phone or internet how to do things for an hour that it would take me 10 seconds to do. Instead of "Add the files you want to a directory called "games" on a CD", you have to describe, Open NERO, click file - create new CD, on the right side there is a box called "File Explorer", find the files you want to get, drag them over, etc. It's amazing how people that use computers so much can be so bad at using them.

Exerpt from Feminist Poem Number One by Elizabeth Alexander
"Yes I have dreams where I am rescued by men:
my father, brother, husband, no one else.
Last night I dreamed my brother and husband
morphed into each other and rescued me
from a rat-infested apartment. "Run!"
he said, feral scampering at our heels.
And then we went to lunch at the Four Seasons."

I used to pretend not to know simple stuff like that so I could chat to the girl in IQ computers (now defunct). Her boss got wise to me and stopped letting me in, bummer.

I love calling tech-support at Dell. Those guys assume I know nothing, which gets really funny.

I once installed pcAnywhere on my WinXP box (which prevented it from booting ever again). I called tech support and they started telling me this crap step-by-step until I realized that all he was going to do was have me boot in safe mode and do a system restore. The problem was I didn't know the key to get into safe mode and the manual didn't tell me.

That;s what's taking so long in getting my editing site complete, biulding stuff actually involves a lot of steps and knowledge. Then to go through each step explaining every little detail takes a bloody eternity. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif Where as when you know what you're doing you're clicking and punching in numbers without even really thinking about it. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif
