-yeah, i think there cute and cudly
-it's eyes come out the sockets when it dyes
-they're just plain cute

i hate imps because they come in huge groups and they just seem to take too long to kill *mad*. with a shotgun, shotgun guys and zombies take usually one hit, heavy weapon dudes 1 or 2. but imps can take up to 3 shots sometimes and at long range *ugh*

Actually both of these demos feature a caco vs caco infight. It occurs for the same reason that you can provoke baron vs baron infights on Doom E1M8.

When a monster is hurt by an exploding barrel, it will retaliate against the monster that had attacked the barrel. This is used in Pacifist and Tyson demos on E1M8 - without this trick, it takes far longer in both categories.

What is a bit curious about tv31t524.lmp is that, as far as I can make out, the caco (let's call it caco1) that attacks the other caco (caco2) had exploded the barrel itself. However, one of the barrels that was involved in the explosion had earlier been attacked by caco2. Thus this appears to be a little more complex than at face value, with the engine remembering the earlier attack by caco2 when working out if caco1 has anything to retaliate against.

In some of the early Doom betas, there were some infighting glitches, where for instance a monster would attack itself if it harmed itself by exploding a barrel.

Yes, yes I do, as it provides a challenge, sometimes. Iv'e had several moments in the game when it succeded (with the help of reviving) in killing me. So, yeah, I like Pita (Pain in the ass. Oh wait! PITA BREAD! [sarcasm] That's so funny!! [/sarcsm]).
