3 Reasons, why Newdoom = better then Doomworld

1. NewDoom's hosted sites are oftener updated
2. NewDoom has a better service for the Doomer (better Messageboard, easy host)
3. NewDoom has more and better News

Well, these are only 1% of the complete bunch of reasons, why NewDoom is better then Doomworld! Tell me, why you think NewDoom is better then Doomworld!

heh well newdoom's forum is a lot more involved, and isn't just full of posts from people updating about their god-damn projects all the time (Jon points at Tormentor). Doomworld's site design is a lot cleaner and faster IMHO. I've heard stories about problems with newdoom's hosting, but I don't know for sure much about it. Doomworld's very picky about what it hosts.

hrmm, well I've heard bad things about newdoom.com's hosting, like the fact that a lot of people have complained about there pages deleted or modified without notice, for that reason I would never try to get hosted on this site. As for doomworld, they have a lot of hosted pages already, just because some pages don't update as quick as those on newdoom.com doesn't mean newdoom.com is better. And anyway, doomworld can't host every joe that comes along, they have a level of excellence to keep, while the pages here on newdoom.com, well some of the designs look like a 2 year old has gotten hold of a html manual and splattered together a few sentances and some big fonts and thinks it looks great. As for newdoom.com having more and better news, what is better? as for more news, well yes it has more news, because it updates about every TC and every page that has been updated, I personally don't like having to read every header to find the stuff I like. They also don't mark the dates very clearly so it's difficult to see when one days news ends and another days news starts, anyway that's enough ranting....I don't like spending time at this site.

I think DooMworld has a better layout, in terms of speed and ease of fining dated news. As for looks, NewDooM gets the victory, although the dates/times of updates could be a lot easier to notice.

The Forums here are great. It's not overrun by 12-year-olds with no manners/reasoning, and is not ruled with a Nazi-like fist. I like the interactivity with the people here, even if I'm not the best of (or even) friends with them. Plus, a few oops-type posts don't get you banned, if you don't repeat the problems constantly. God bless the 1'st amendment.

I don't know about how old Wmull is, but Ling is not old enough to make fully rational decisions yet, but that's due to inexperience in life, WHICH IS NORMAL FOR A 19 YEAR OLD. Once he's in his mid/late 20's or so, I bet Ling would be a great person to deal with, while running a new DooM VII site. http://www.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif

DooMworld does have chat rooms, albeit still overun by kiddies. Maybe Newdoom should try this.

Each has it's advantages/disadvantages, but those listed are my priorities, and NewDooM's the winner.
(If fact, the Forums are so active, it takes up my whole 'net surfing session, about 1 hour, to go through it all!)

Oh, and yes, I think pants are great.

The only time we modify pages is if they don't know how to use the ad banner script, or need help setting it up. We've never deleted anyone's pages unless they were given multiple warnings to remove/change whatever was wrong with it.

When I first came here to be hosted it was a bit daunting for me. I had only had a web page for about 5 months. I use a Wysiwyg editor and when I came here there were a few things that needed to be corrected. However I was always informed about them and on rare occasions asked if it was okay to fix them for me. Which I was happy about. I have had nothing deleted or changed. I have heard this rumour several times and people saying that the hosting is bad. What I would like to know is where did these rumours start?

It's rather hard to sort through, especially with threads changing places all the time and no individualized replies (a reply to the first message would only get tacked onto the end of the thread here as opposed to indented under the message being replied to, i.e. doomworld.)

Yeah, NewDooM is much better. DoomWorld is okay. I like the pics of the day like Doompinball(episode 3 map changed pinball machine) and Ultimate DooM screen cahnge when the DooM guy is holding a guitar instead of a shotgun.
