View Full Version : Heroes.wad?

I realize I should probably not be posting here, but I am rather desperate. I've been looking about a week for heroes.wad and heroes2.wad for Doom and Doom 2 respectively.
They're big semi-TCs--compilations of levels and sounds and such--and I know they were on PCGamer CDs a long time ago, and I really would like to find them again.

Any help?

You can find the heroes.wad here:

ftp://sunsite.org.uk/packages/idgames/levels/doom2/g-i/

I didn't see heroes2.wad

If you could mail me at mtk@nova-software.com with any news, I'd appreciate it. I will, however, check back in any case.

Thank you kindly.

Ok dude. Check your email jobby. Let me know if it went ok. I hope there won't be any problems. Each of the wads is about 2.5 MB zipped. I don't usually send files that big via email, but I'm having problems with my @home webspace account atm. Seems I can't upload anything either by ftp or by @home's file manager :P

Recept went just fine. http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif
I'm forever grateful, I am. I tried to reply to your e-mail directly, but it wouldn't get through--more @Home woes, I take it? In any case, there's not much I can do to return to favour, unfortunately. That is, unless you're looking for old game rips.

Ah, the memories. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, kind stranger. Now, time to make copies of the files in ten different places. http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif

You are welcome.

Ok in case anyone else would like these megawads, I've finally got my account working again. You can get them from the links below.(May the incompetent monkeys at Shaw Cable die horrible painful deaths with salt poured on their gaping wounds. http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smilies/cwm23.gif )

Nope. And don't hold your breath either. I have a sneaky suspicion that it's gone. As in permanent like.

Not to dispair too much there DN. There are several mirrors that are still accessible.

and

http://pelit.saunalahti.fi/idgames/

are just two of several.

Well, after 4 hours of non-stop downloading I have the entire I_am_old_enough_to_look_at_this archive stored on my PC.

Rest assured that if CDROM never returns and it's mirrors get pooch screwed, the naughty bit will be saved for future generations! http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smilies/cwm35.gif

So the question is: Wmull, fancy hosting me and my cheesy porn wads? http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smilies/cwm35.gif

We could call it "Dn's Dodgy Disease Den". It would be huge I tell ya!
