Just because the guy isn't liked on other forums in the Doom community doesn't mean he can't start anew here. What the hell, this isn't even the Doom community--it's the dawn of the New Doom community, and we don't like your full-of-**** cockiness type waltzing in here like you own the fvcking place. I want to see where this is going before I decide what to close or delete, or who to ban . . .

I don't want to discourage anyone from coming here. But I don't want the same diseased attitudes that are apparent on the old doom forums out there to infect our very enjoyable new community here.

Everyone gets the benefit of the doubt, until they prove otherwise. There seems to be some history with King Reol and these people coming here from other forums. And I don't care about that, as long as it stays over there, where it belongs. I think King Reol knows better than to try anything over here, because he perceives I won't put up with it; not just from him, but from anyone, across the board.

We really must stay beyond the little box some of the other people coming from other forums have put themselves in.

There's so much more going on in the NEW DOOM community than who likes who. Screw that, it's not what we're about. We are here to talk about the new doom, but we're also supporting the development of quality source port mods (JDoom and csDoom and others) for the old doom.

My post on the thread that is already closed was simply to point out King REoL's inappropriate use of this forum to bash other people (ie Ling and Lowtax). I have nothing personal against King REoL. I don't want to see him mess up his chance to "start anew" here on these forums because I do think he has some positive contributions to make. My apologies if my post was interpreted as a flame or an invitation to flame. I certainly do not agree with the attitude expressed in the post that followed. Too much of this kind of thing went on (and still goes on btw) on the Doomworld forums. It was just that kind of thing I wanted to avoid here.

King REol can start over here. That's fine, I probably won't even grace these forums anymore after this post, if he wants to be here, that's fine, and I won't bother him anymore. But, what I'm saying is, if he uses this forums to spout off about Lowtax for the reasons that he seems to be, I'm at least going to offer the other side of this story. Apparently I wasn't the only person who doesn't want to see real life corpses (despite the fact that I played doom among other games), but because I couldn't nor did I ban him from any forums.
