Yee-uh! I've had Q3:A for the Dreamcast for near a week now, give or take, and it TOTALLY ROCKS!!! There are only two downsides I've met: One, that I can't play against more than three people, but I haven't tried connecting to a PC game yet. I need the address for those servers, as I can only view addresses for D'cast servers. And two, that when playing multiplayer on one system, the retrievable items (except for the CTF flags) are all sprites! On the bright side, you can play multiplayer on one system!! Teaming up with my little brother against two Xaeros in CTF is so much fun. Only it's getting tiring because now we keep kicking the bots' asses.
I can associate my lack of Doom and fondness of DC Q3A, with Tom Hanks' lack of communication and rescue, and his newfound friend, Wilson, the volleyball. Coz I went to the movies today and saw Cast Away. It's a good movie! Anyway, my point is, the volleyball becomes Chuck (Tom)'s best friend, in order to keep him sane while stranded on the island. In the same way, Q3 is keeping me sane in a world without Doom! But Doom is still all around me! PC Gamer keeps mentioning it, and I just discovered that the "hidden" web browser on my Chu Chu Rocket disc can actually play midis. The synthesizer quality is somewhere between SB16 and SB64 quality. I spent an entire night downloading Doom midis and listening to them, oh how satisfied that made me feel!!
GTG, I'm missing the premiere episode of Sports Night on Comedy Central! Cya!
