I've never deathmatched over the internet, does it suck? Is there lots of lag?

I'm kind of curious, maybe when I get home I'll give it a try. But then you'll all see how bad a player I am!

It all depends.

A GOOD 56K connection nets you about a 300ms lag, sometimes even into the mid 100's.

An AOL connection yields a 390 to 800 usually.

DLS/Cable, or other will be best. You won't even notice any, and you'd rule the board. Just hope you like to be called Llama. http://forums.newdoom.com/ubb/smile.gif

What's even worse is when you're about to win the game, then the "Phone Jack of Doom" appears. That totally sucks @ss!
