I got mine through someone who used to work for my dad. He started calling me jas the Face. This got shortend to face and when i first logged on about a year ago I added the uk. Thats about it.

`Jon the Frad' is pretty clear, so instead I'll explain my DM name- [CIC]Ns-Teppic. CIC is my (oldish) TFC clan that I started up a while ago and is apparently doing very well in my absence. Ns stands for `NeoStoic', the screen name of a good friend of mine who played Halflife DM a lot, and killed himself. Teppic is from a Terry Pratchett novel.

My first nick was and still is Pittfiend. When I joined newdoom, I thought that a different, more Doomy, type of name would work ok. As I was filling in the registration jobby, I just instantly thought up Doom_Dude and without a second thought, I submitted the thing and here I be.

I had the opposite situation.
I wanted a handle that would be unique, but others had, like Destroyer, Death, The Undertaker, Grim Reaper. Too many ideas, too many people already had.

I just signed off messages as "Resident Expert of Leominster", then got tired of typing all that, and the REoL acronym was born.

Oddly enough, if you enter "REoL" into a search engine, you'd also get "Real Estate of Leominster", but I had the acronym first (They started in mid 1994, and I had it since December 1992).

The whole pants thing probably started with the International pants day topic. At least thats the oldest I remember it from.

Anyway my name pretty much means holy undead. I always liked the revenant and wanted to use it for my internet nickname but just Revenant was to bland.

So I sought some thing to add to it. After searching through the dictionary I came across Empyreal which relates to the highest place in Greek heaven composed of fire and light. I like that simply because they two are sort of an oxymoron.

I spell it Empyrial because of an old Magic: the gathering card called Empyrial Armor and I liked it that way better than empyreal.

I don't know. But If I remember right, I saw some official documentation a VERY long time ago about who the space marine was in DooM, in fact, id themselves in some interviews called him by his name: B.J. Blascowitcz. Look familiar? Yep. Same guy as in Wolfenstein!
Look at "Quake Guy", a.k.a. "Skippy". Face look familiar under the helmet? Same as DooM, EXACTLY the same. B.J. again!

There's my $.02, and that's why I always think, and actually know, DooM/Quake Guy is really our good ol' friend B.J.

The Albino Negro just suits me perfectly. It's a total contradiction. Lüt is some old nick of mine from 8th grade that got Germanized, when everybody was on a German kick. I ended up using it in the DoomNation forums when I started posting because I couldn't think of anything better and it stuck with me since. I seriously need something else (I hate it), but it's what everybody knows me as so I have to keep it :\

Uh...REoL...I can tell you that the Doom Guy and "Skippy" are NOT the same face. You should look closer. They are far from similar!!

And if I'm wrong--because I forget the Wolf3D storyline--if B.J. is in fact an American, I can count on the fact that a man from the 1940's would not exactly be prepared to fight demons from Hell in a modern-day, if not future, setting!!

You can't be blastin' demons from Hell on Stroggos one minute, and then outswimming Dopefish in Wolfenstein, Germany the next minute, and then assassinating Hitler on the planet Vorticon the next minute, and then destroying Makron on Phobos the next minute!!!!!

That's probably why id didn't give "DooM Guy" or "Quake Guy" an actual name. If you look, though, the mug in DooM is a better drawn B.J., and the Quake Guy is B.J. with a helmet on.

After Quake, at least the face changed, but for the most part, jumps and landings didn't, even in Q3:A.
