Name for new Doom?

Well, most of us seem to have agreed on the title New Doom for now...but it just doesn't sound good enough for the title when it is released (which will probably be in 2002..ack). So what should the -official- name for New Doom be?

My suggestion-- "Doom: Evil Incarnate". This was the name that the original Doom was supposed to have before they shortened it...and it should be brought back!

I do not want it to be called new doom because it sounds crap and it can't be called doom 3 because after doom 2 there was final doom.
But it must have doom in the title.

As far as I know, id Software does not plan to call the next Doom, New Doom. Our site is just named that because it will be a new Doom. The name may not suit an actual game's name, but it suites our site just fine in my opinion! Also, I liked how Zack suggested "Doom: Evil Incarnate" for the new Doom!

Romero says that the bad gameplay in Quake was the result of bad political arguments within id. That stuff started up again recently and worried me, but it seems to be over already, now that work on Doom has actually started. But it's too hard to tell for sure...

I think 'Doomed Forever' does sound too much like a Duke Forever rip off...'Forever Doomed' isn't as bad though, but I still think 'Doom: Evil Incarnate' or 'Doom: Evil Unleashed' is better!

Let me begin with the whole doom colon title format. I figure if you're gonna be a space marine, why not have your mission sound like a top secret government codename having to do with the book of Revelation. I like the Apocolypse project because it resembles the manhattan project (Not the ninja turtles game for snes). Codename Micheal refers to the archangel Micheal who, in the bible is destined to conquer the minions of Satan at the end of the world. Although it doesn't sound quite as good, it hints at some symbolism which could be used towards the end of the game.
DELUGE?! Sounds like the word for two guys dancing with each other.

The reason I haven't posted in so long is because of a realy big storm on Sunday. At first I was just playing Ren & Stimpy with my little brother on the Sega Genesis, when it started storming and raining. And then there were the tornado warnings and the huge flashes of lightning and I got nervous and so I quickly packed up all my videogames and my handheld TV, and brought them to our finished basement....to find it knee-deep in water. So I spent all day vacuuming the water from the basement, until the power went out. So that's my story!!! Oh, I survived btw, so I guess it's a sad ending for CRETE :)

They'll probably make up their own name, more than likely one that will deal with the storyline of the game. Besides, nobody will want to look through a seven-page-list of names that are mosly not even relevant! What we SHOULD be thinking about is a name for the new engine! "New Doom Engine" just doesn't sound right :)

Well, Name For New Doom? is entering it's seventh page. And only now did I realize something very important. All these titles SUCK! Even the serious ones. Even Evili iIncarnate! Any title that tends to elaborate on itself totally blows. Doom was a good title for not doing that. Jaws is another very good example! Same with Half-Life, Quake, and title named after main characters like Duke Nukem and Commander Keen. The New Doom should either stay New Doom, or become John Carmack's Doom (just going with the flow for that idea). Or, it should have a totally new title with no relevance to the original title.

The only title i really like is Doom 4. All others just don't make the grade. You can take all the unleashes, shores of, incarnates and such and toss em to the four winds, because they suck. id will name the game and it will be cool.
