If you stick your head next to an imp corpse, you can hear Carmack himself saying buy a GeForce 3, or won't be able to play Doom 3 and you'll be Doomed to the world of Quake. Or is it my imagination. I guess living miles under sand with the forgotten treasure of the great Pharoah Doom_Dude with only golden imp statues as your company these things happen to you.

Nope sorry guys. I can tell you that id doesn't really care much about the original DOOM communities. They hang out at the newer Q3 communities and keep an eye on Q2 probably, but the DOOM sites could have a giant link to download the DOOM1 and 2 Iwads and id would probably never know. At lunch I was tryng to explain to them why we don't just switch to the newer games, they just didn't get it. I told them about the new stuff going on here, and they just said "why not just edit quake?" heh, I tried to explain that some people like driving a shiney new car, some people like fixing up an old muscle car. Me, I prefer a game with a little balls to some glossy new plastic car that'll break down and die in a few years... http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/wink.gif
