check out this info at Lamespy here (http://www.gamespy.com/e32002/pc/doom3c/)

basically says that the Lead level designer of ID was playing Doom III to show that none of it is movie rendered, and other things like lights, and instant monster spawning via console.

Of course it's playable silly! The movie was rendered with the engine, kind of like a DOOM demo maybe? So technically, the complete (as of a few days ago) game was on the comp running that presentation. http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smile.gif

Then agian I'm probably wrong, I'm always wrong... http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/tongue.gif

Lamespy? What do you have against gamespy in general?
I mean, gamespy arcade may be a hate object but gamespy?

And I think Rellik is right... http://forums.newdoom.com/UBB/smilies/cwm19.gif

That engine was probably playable when Rellik saw it in their office. I think that's how Carmack thinks. I mean even the DooM 0.2 alpha was playable (sort of).
