Before I download EDGE could somebody tell me how it ranks against Legacy?

I was wondering the same thing.
Does Edge have a nice launcher? Some of these ports have no launcher support and that's a pain.

If you want multi-story gaming/editing, go for them!
I don't have either, so why not try them both out and find out which you like better.

I've been playing with EDGE for about a month now and it kicks a$$! Hell the true 3D multiple floors alone is enough to put it a step up. Legacy has been around longer and is a little more rounded out, but I think they're in danger of falling behind.
The best part of EDGE is that all the info is stored in text files. You can design completely new attacks with almost NO limitations, everything is user-definable. You can add an unlimited number of new things, sounds, attacks, text before and after each level.
Another super handy thing is with the EDGE text files you make your own line-types in no time flat! It only took me a couple minutes to define a new door-type that splits in the middle- half goes up, half goes down. Combine new mover-linetypes with the 3D floors and you can make the most amazing elevators.
And the next release will have OpenGL! *drool*
I LOVE EDGE!
What do you mean by launcher? If you mean for Death Match, EDGE doesn't support DM yet.

Is it Ultra-User friendly like Legacy?

Well, I'm not very smart. I tend to not get the swing of things, but EDGE is so easy to understand even I figured out how everything works. Not to mention they have the best help files and tutorials out there. That's the main reason I love EDGE. I've tried to puzzle out how to do stuff with Legacy and ZDOOM, but my simple mind can't seem to wrap around it.
