DooM3 and the GeForce3

After watching the DooM 3 "preview" movie at 3d downloads I began to wonder. They show some brief but kick ass clips of DooM 3 of the GeForce 3. John Carmack was also saying all the neat stuff that they can do with the GeForce 3 also. I was wondering if the GeForce 3 would be required for DooM 3. And if it is and it comes out before the GeForce 3 becomes avaible for PC's we are all screwed except for dumbass Mac owners. What I am saying the GeForce 3 will be released for Macs first which sucks. But I do doubt we have much to worry about. We probably a have a good bit of time before DooM 3 comes out.
(If you want see the movie it is little bigger than 13 megabytes and is boring at the begging.)

Yes, It'll require a GeForce 3, and I'm sure equivilant.
Remember, in 2002, the price of the card will be a LOT lower, there will be MUCH faster ones on the market, and new PC's will have just as powerful cards built right into them.

Well that's somewhat good news that I only have to wait about a year to get a good enough graphics card to play DooM 3.

Q3:A required "the best" when it was first being made. Once the betas were out, "the best" were pretty crappy cards. My Rage LT Pro was one of the "High-end" cards during it's start.
When it was released, the basic cards, like mine, were a joke.
I'm sure people will laugh at the GeForce 3 owners when DooM III comes out, because it'll be "slow as hell."
