Serious Sam/Psycho Circus

Hey did anyone played Serious Sam and/or Psycho Circus? Both are "trying" to revive the doom experience. So if you played both wich one remind you the most of doom.
For me it was an easy one, Serious Sam.
The weapons, the enemies, the speed of them, and the tremendous fun I had playing it came very close to my doom experience. The leveldesign didn't.
Anyway some other opinions?

Besides, the makers only said they were inspired by Doom and not trying to make it exactly like Doom.
