The very first level in the new doom?

Yes, Doom64 did that; the intro was awesome!!

But everything after that pretty much sucked. Or it looked more like a Heretic 64.

And also they have to give a really long ending as most games nowadays have really shabby, rushed endings.

I can understand wanting the awesome old bad guys in the game but frankly, I never found the levels to be all that good.
They were just kinda metal then maybe some fleshy walls then sme more metal and possibly some blue lights.
As far as the first level goes, I say go for the scorched earth plan as discussed in the ohter topic.

I say start off on earth, then go to a moon or a space station and then finish off in hell.

I think it should all take place in Hell and then a tiny bit in outer space at the end.

I like KR's idea of starting off on earth. howabout you start off in the wilderness and you have to make your way through the woods to a city like New York. so in the beginning it would be tree to tree combat and once inside the demon infested city, you go urgan style.

I'm gonna stick with that. Idunno. Tree to tree Combat with demons sounds kind of unDOOMly. Sounds more like Rougue Spear. Why does a demon need a tree to hide behind?

Okay, I admit it. When I was writing the damn story, I was tired as Hell and was only thinking, "I think I'll just write one more post to get 50 altogether" or something like that.

And as for the whole closets thing, I kept telling myself to make a description similar to that of Doom episode 3: Inferno. But instead, all I could think about was Commander Keen episode 3! Which, ironically, has Keen wondering through Vorticon homes and closets and everything.
